U14B Cricket

Not quite the right result (possibly due to a couple A team 'ringers' for LVS - not that we are bitter!) but Alex Brogan, Y9 S, is obviously an all rounder, as can be seen by his batting and bowling technique. Cameron Keay, Oliver Dingley and Richard Gray all represent the U14B cricket team too.

The Battle of Riverside

You may not be able to see them but some of the boys from Y10 have been on 'operations' for the Army CCF, patrolling and engaging the enemy by the Riverside. Jonny Donald is shown applying his war paint and Johnny Ross, Nick Bond and Will Brudenell are about to blend in to the scenery too.

House Athletics Standards

The House Athletics Competition got underway last Friday (14th May) and will continue tomorrow (Thursday 20th May). The events covered during these 2 weeks include shot putt, long jump, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m. The aim is for all pupils to enter every event and earn Standards (A, B or C) for the House. As expected, not all pupils enjoy every event (probably few!) and they may find some challenging but no matter what the ability level, even entering an event will earn points for Skipwith. The photos include Matt Thomas, Dub Brady, a blurred James Dempster and Jack Corrigan-Stuart (All Y11)taking part in the Shot Putt, with an 'excited' and supportive Skipwith crowd behind, and Rory Moore and Harry Vardigans from Y9 competing in the 100m. The Championship is in the third week, which is more like a 'conventional' Sports Day, when the House will try to put the best team together, with the opportunity for pupils to excel and earn individual medals, whilst still competing for Skipwith overall.
